Basic 4ipnet Hotspot HSG260 Configuration

In this article we will see how to configure 4ipnet Wireless Hotspot Gateway HSG260

Default IP Address:- 192.168.1.254
Default Username:- admin
Default Password:- admin

Steps for Accessing 4ipnet GUI:-
✦ Assign Static IP Address to your Laptop (IP Address:- 192.168.1.100) and Connect you Laptop on 4ipnet LAN Port.
✦ Open Browser and enter 192.168.1.254 to Access 4ipnet GUI.

Assigning IP Address to WAN Port:-
 ✦ Open GUI-> Click on Main Menu-> System-> WAN-> Select Type for eg: Static-> Enter IP Address, Netmask, Gateway, DNS (Provided by ISP)-> Click Apply.

Enable Bandwidth limit on WAN Port:-
 ✦ Open GUI-> Click on Main Menu-> System-> WAN Traffic-> Tick mark “Enable Bandwidth limits on WAN”-> Enter Uplink & Downlink Speed-> Click Apply.

LAN Ports and Service Zone Mapping:-
 ✦ Open GUI-> Click on Main Menu-> System-> LAN Port Mapping-> Select Port-Based Mapping-> Select Service Zone for LAN Port-> Click Apply.

Assigning IP Address to LAN Port:-
 ✦ Open GUI-> Click on Main Menu-> System-> Service Zones-> Click Configure (Service Zone Name)-> Change Service Zone Name-> Operation Mode “NAT”-> Enter IP Address, Subnet Mask-> Click Apply.

Assigning DHCP(On LAN Port):-
 ✦ Open GUI-> Click on Main Menu-> System-> Service Zones-> Click Configure (Service Zone Name)-> Enable DHCP Server-> Click Configure (DHCP Server Configuration)-> Enter Start IP Address, End IP Address, Preferred DNS Server, Alternate DNS Server, Domain Name “domain.com”, Lease Time-> Click Apply.

Time & Date Setting:-
 ✦ Open GUI-> Click on Main Menu-> System-> General-> Select Time Zone-> Click Apply.

Setting Authentication Mode:-
 ✦ Open GUI-> Click on Main Menu-> System-> Service Zones-> Click Configure (Service Zone Name)->Enable “Authentication Required For the Zone”->Tick Mark Default & Enable “On-demand User” (Authentication Options)-> Click Apply.

Disable other Service Zone (Public-1):-
 ✦ Open GUI-> Click on Main Menu-> System-> Service Zones-> Click Configure (Service Zone Name)-> Disable “Service Zone Status”-> Disable “Wireless Settings :RF1 VAP 2”-> Click Apply.

Setting QoS Policy(Bandwidth Policy):-
 ✦ Open GUI-> Click on Main Menu-> Users-> QoS-> Assign Required Bandwidth to the Policy-> Click Apply.

Creating Billing Plans:-
 ✦ Open GUI-> Click on Main Menu-> Users-> Authentication-> On-demand Users-> Click Configure (Billing Plan)-> Edit Plan no 1-> Edit Required Info-> Click Apply-> Enable Created Plan-> Click Apply.
