Aruba 7200 Series Mobility Controller Configuration

In this article we will see how to Configure Aruba 7200 Series Mobility Controller Configuration.

Customer Requirement: There should be 2 VLAN (100 for Access Points and 1000 for Client).

Licenses Registration
✦ Under Mobility Controller -> Configuration -> License -> Click on Inventory -> Add -> Enter License Key and Click on OK.

To Check the Licenses
✦ Under Mobility Controller -> Configuration -> License -> Click on Usage and Check the AP Count.

Creating VLAN (100 and 1000)
✦ Under Mobility Controller -> Aruba7205 -> Configuration -> Interfaces -> VLANs -> Add -> VLAN name: MGMT_VLAN -> VLAN ID/Range: 100 and Click on Submit.
✦ Under Mobility Controller -> Aruba7205 -> Configuration -> Interfaces -> VLANs -> Add -> VLAN name: GUEST_VLAN -> VLAN ID/Range: 1000 and Click on Submit.

VLAN Interface
✦ Under Mobility Controller -> Aruba7205 -> Configuration -> Interfaces -> VLANs -> MGMT_VLAN -> Select VLAN -> IPV4 Tab -> IP assignment: Select Static from Drop Down List -> IP address: 192.168.160.2 -> Netmask: 255.255.252.0 and Click on Submit.

Interface Configuration
✦ Under Mobility Controller -> Aruba7205 -> Configuration -> Interfaces -> Ports -> Select interface GE-0/0/0 -> Mode: Trunk -> Native VLAN: 100 -> Allowed VLANs: Allow All and Click on Submit.

DHCP for AP
✦ Under Mobility Controller -> Aruba7205 -> Configuration -> Services -> DHCP -> IPv4 DHCP server: Tick Mark to Enable DHCP Server for AP -> Under Pool Configuration Click on Add -> IP version: IPv4 -> Pool name: AP_POOL -> Default routers: 192.168.160.1 -> Network IP address type: Select Static from drop down List -> Network IP address: 192.168.160.0 -> Network IP mask: 255.255.252.0 and Click on Submit.
✦ Click on Pending Changes and Apply.

AP Group:
✦ Under Mobility Controller -> Aruba7205 -> Configuration -> AP Groups -> Add -> Name: PH_AP_Group and Click on Submit.

WLANs (SSID)
✦ Under Mobility Controller -> Aruba7205 -> Configuration -> WLANs -> Add -> Name (SSID): Planet Hollywood -> Primary usage: Tick Mark Guest -> Broadcast on: All APs -> Forwarding mode: Tunnel and Click on Next
✦ Under VLANs -> VLAN: Select Guest VLAN 1000 from drop down List and Click on Next
✦ Under Security -> Select No Captive Portal and Click on Next
✦ Under Access Tab -> Default role: guest-logon and Click on Finish.

Change Controller IP Address from VLAN1 to VLAN100
✦ Under Mobility Controller -> Aruba7205 -> Configuration -> System -> General -> Controller IP Address -> IPv4 address: Select VLAN100 from Drop Down List -> and Click on Submit and OK

To Save Configuration
✦ Click on Pending Changes at Left Corner and click on Deploy Changes to save the configuration.

Disable Control Plane Security
✦ Under Mobility Controller -> Configuration -> System -> CPSec -> Enable CPSec: Disable -> Submit.

To Save Configuration
✦ Click on Pending Changes at Left Corner and click on Deploy Changes to save the configuration.

Disable Control Plane Security
✦ Under Mobility Controller -> Aruba7205 -> Configuration -> System -> CPSec -> Enable CPSec: Disable -> Submit.

To Save Configuration
✦ Click on Pending Changes at Left Corner and click on Deploy Changes to save the configuration.
