Access Points Monitoring in 24online

24online Offers facility to Monitor the IP Address using ICMP Protocol with the help of this feature we can Monitor the Access Points.

Its always a good practice to Keep Access Points in Different Subnet to Prevent IP Conflicts hence will create an IP Address Alias in 24online
Here will Considering Access Points Subnet as 192.168.160.1/24

Adding Alias in 24online
Login to 24online GUI -> System Configuration -> Network -> Interface Configuration -> Click on Add Alias

Add Alias
Physical Interface * Select LAN Interface from Drop Down Menu
Alias No * Enter 0
Alias IP address * Enter 192.168.160.1
Netmask Select 255.255.255.0 from Drop Down Menu
Interface Type Tick Mark Internal
Interface Description Enter AP Pool
and Click on Add Button -> OK

Adding Access Points in 24online
Click on System Configuration -> Status Tracker -> Add Devices

Device Details
IPv4 Address* Enter Access Point IP Address
Description Enter Access Point Location Name
Comments Enter Access Point Model NO
and Click on Add Button -> OK

Monitoring Access Points
After Adding one or Multiple Access we can view the complete list and status of each device from the manage page. The manage page also offers the facility to Delete device from the list, that are not in use.

Click on System Configuration -> Status Tracker -> Manage Devices

o If green sign, it means the Access Point is UP and Running.
o If red sign, it means the Access Point is Down.
Note:- Access Points once connected in network it take 10Min Time to show the actual Status.

Checking Access Points Logs
This window is used to check the Logs

Click on System Configuration -> Status Tracker -> Devices Logs Details

Device Logs
Start Date Enter/Select Start Date
End Date Enter/Select End Date
Select Status Reachable: Shows the logs of system whose IP is reachable
Non-reachable: Shows the logs of system whose IP is unreachable
Device IP Enter Access Point IP Address
and Click on Get Device Log Details Button
