24online LAN Pool & DHCP Pool Configuration

In this article we will see how to configure 24online LAN Pool & DHCP Pool so that users can get DHCP.

LAN Pool Configuration

✦ Click on Property Management -> Pool Management -> Create Pool -> Enter Pool Name:- -> Type:- -> Bandwidth Policy:- -> DHCP Pool:- Tick Mark -> PPPoE Identifier:- -> Click on Machine Detail Tab -> Enter From IP Address:- -> Enter To IP Address:- and click on Create Button -> Will get pop-up for confirmation simply click on Ok.

DHCP Pool Configuration

Creating Subnet
✦ Click on Config -> DHCP Configuration -> Click on Interface eth0(A) -> Select Default Subnet and Click on Delete Subnet Button so that we can create a New Subnet
✦ Once default subnet is deleted click on Add Subnet Button -> Enter Subnet:- -> Netmask:- -> Gateway:- -> Domain Name:- -> Subnet Mask:- -> Max Lease Time:- -> NTP Server IP:- -> DNS List:- Click on Add and Enter DNS IP Address: 172.26.0.1 and click on Ok Button (Repeat same steps and at DNS IP Address:- 8.8.8.8 & 4.2.2.2) and Click on Save Button.

Adding IP Pool
✦ Click on Add IP Pool Button -> Allow Lease to Known Host:- Should be No -> Add Lease Criteria:- Should be No -> DHCP Pool -> From Drop Down Menu select the LAN Pool we created (Once we select the Pool From & To IP address will appear) -> and click on Save Button -> Will get pop-up for confirmation simply click on Ok.

Enable DHCP
✦ Click on Config -> DHCP Configuration -> Click on Interface eth0(A) -> and click on Enable DHCP Button.
Note:- Once you Enable DHCP service status will show as Running

Enable DHCP Autostart
✦ Click on Config -> DHCP Configuration -> and click on Enable Autostart Button -> Will get pop-up for confirmation simply click on Ok.
OR
✦ Click on System Configuration -> Services -> Click on DHCP Server Enable Autostart Button.

Restart DHCP Service
Note:- If you are doing any DHCP related changes then make sure you restart the DHCP Service
✦ Click on Config -> DHCP Configuration -> Click on Interface eth0(A) -> and click on Restart Button

Steps to Start or Stop DHCP Service
Follow below steps if you want to Start or Stop the DHCP Service
✦ Click on Config -> DHCP Configuration -> and click on Start/Stop Button
OR
✦ Click on System Configuration -> Services -> Click on DHCP Server Start/Stop Button.
Note:- When you Start the DHCP Service status will change to Running and when you stop the DHCP Service status will change to Stopped.

Steps to check DHCP Service Status
There are 2 ways to check DHCP Service status
✦ 1. Click on System Configuration -> Services -> and check DHCP Server status (Running or Stopped)
✦ 2. Click on Config -> DHCP Configuration -> and check DHCP Server status (Running or Stopped)
