In this article we will see how to create Profiles (also known as Billing Plan or Packages) in RouterOS v7.
Step 1:- Creating User Groups
Step 2:- Enabling Profiles
Step 3:- Creating Profiles
Step 4:- Creating Limitation (Also Known as Bandwidth Policy)
Step 5:- Creating Profile Limitation (Applying Billing Plan to Profile)
Lets Start..
Step 1:- Creating User Groups
✦ Click on User Manager -> Click on User Groups Tab -> Add -> Name: LAN -> Outer Auths: Tick Mark all the Options -> Inner Auths: Tick Mark all the Options and Click on Apply OK.
Step 2:- Enabling Profiles
✦ Click on User Manager -> Click on Sessions Tab -> Settings -> Tick Mark Use Profile and Click on Apply OK.
Step 3:- Creating Profiles
✦ Click on User Manager -> Profiles -> Add -> Name: 1DAY 3MBPS -> Validity: 1d 00:00:00 -> Name For Users: 1DAY 3MBPS -> Starts When: Select first auth from Drop Down List -> Price: 0.00 -> Override Shared Users: Select off from Drop Down List and Click on Apply OK.
Step 4:- Creating Limitation (Also Known as Bandwidth Policy)
✦ Click on User Manager -> Limitation -> Add -> Name: 3MBPS B/W -> Rx/Tx Rate Limit: 3M -> Rx/Tx Min Rate Limit: 3M and Click on Apply OK.
Step 5:- Creating Profile Limitation (Applying Billing Plan to Profile)
✦ Click on User Manager -> Profile Limitation -> Add -> Profile: Select Profile from Drop Down List -> Limitation: Select Limitation from Drop Down List and Click on Apply OK.
